Obituary
Allen E. Wall, age 90, formerly of Malden, passed away peacefully at the Drew Nursing Home, Sackville, NB on Thursday, September 30, 2010. Born in Malden, he was a son of the late Ellsworth "Mall" and Alice (Allen) Wall.
Allen worked from the age of 10, in numerous saw mills around New Brunswick. He moved to Ontario and worked in the Gold Mines, Uranium Mines and returned to New Brunswick in 1957 to look after his aging father. He was a truck driver for Diamond Construction, went back to work at different saw mills and was praised as an excellent sawyer. He then became Stationary Engineer for Enterprise Foundry, and retired from CN Marine as a Stationary Engineer in 1985. He will be sadly missed by his five sons; Ellsworth (Wendy), Summerside, PEI, John (Rhonda), Bedeque, PEI, Carson (Sherill), Prince George, BC, Allen Jr (Helen), Upper Cape and Roy, Fort McMurray, AB; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; Allen was the eldest boy of 7 children, surviving brothers are Harold, Malden, and WIlbur (Shirley), Riverview as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife Alma (Alger) in 1992 and Genevieve (Leger) in 2005, sisters, Esther, Evelyn, Stella and Corine.
Arrangements are in care of Jones Funeral Home, 3 West Main St., Port Elgin, NB where visiting hours will take place on Saturday from 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be from the funeral home on Sunday, October 3, 2010 at 2 pm, William Drysdale DLM officiating. Burial will follow in the Bayfield Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in Allen's memory may do so to the charity of your choice.
