    GELDART, RETA MAE (1918 - 2015)
    It is with great sadness we announce that Reta Geldart of the Grass Home, Riverview, and formerly of Little River, reached the end of her life's journey on Friday, February 20, 2015, at the age of 96. Born in Colpitts Settlement, she was the daughter of the late Whitmore and Etta (Bannister) Hopper.
    Reta is survived by her daughters, Pauline/Polly (Lee), Alma and Anne, Little River and her son, Roger (Dianne), Little River; her grandchildren, Tara, Tim, Shane and Lindsay; her great grandchildren, Brooke-Lynn, Colson, Charlee and Raine; sisters-in-law, Peggy Hopper and Neta Hopper and many nieces and nephews.
    Besides her parents, Reta was predeceased by her husband, Holly, in 2001. Reta was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by sisters, Alberta and Esther and brothers, Ottie, Roy, Randall and Wendell. Reta will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all her family.
    She enjoyed cross country skiing, farm life and her vegetable garden, which she planted and cared for until she was 90. Every summer, she was busy making pickles and canning or freezing vegetables from her garden.
    The family would like to thank the staff at the Grass Home for the exceptional care and kindness given to our mother.
    A private graveside service will be held at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens on Monday, February 23, 2015 at 2:00 PM. If desired, donations in Reta's memory to the Nixon Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated.     The death of William G. Geldart occurred last evening at his home in Lewisville following an illness of four days. He was 72 years of age and had for some years been an employee of the Hollingsworth and Whitney Lumber Company. Surviving are seven sons, Clifford, Nova Scotia, William of Havelock, Eric of The Glades, Polly and Reginal of Little River, Arden, Apohaqui and Donald at home; five daughters, Maitland of Winnipeg, Margaret of Alma, Irma and Annie residing in Little River and Leda of Hujphrey’s. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

    After a long period of failing health the death occurred Wednesday morning at the family home in Little River, Albert County of Mrs. Fannie Louisa Geldart beloved wife of Mr. William G. Geldart. The deceased lady had been bedfast for a considerable time and while her death was not entirely unexpected, yet it came as a distinct shock to members of her family, other relatives and friends. The late Mrs. Geldart was born in Elgin, Albert County, 54 years and eight months ago, a daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Oulton. Fof the past 15 yhears she had made her home at Little River, coming there from Alma, Albert County where she formerly resided during the earlier years of her married life. Her husband is a well known resident during the earlier years of her married life. Her husband is a well known foreman for the White Lumber Co., Ltd. Possessed of kindly qualities of head and heart, besides being a woman of high Christian character and sunny disposition, she endeared herself to a wide circle of friends who will deeply mourn her passing and extend sympathy to the bereaved family and relatives. In religion she was a Methodist, later United Church and was a faithful attendant and active worker in the Little River Church prior to being laid aside by illness. The deceased leaves to mourn the loss of a lovidng wife and Mother, her husband and ll childen, 6 sons and 5 daughters. One sister Mrs. Currie Gould of Lewisville, N.B. and one brother Mr. Joseph Oulton of Little River also survive. The funeral arrangements have not been comnpleted and will be announced later.
