They have 4 sons and 1 daughter: Pierre, 10 years Francois, 8 years Cyprien, 6 years Joseph, 4 years Anne, 15 months. Antoine Arcenaud, native of l'Acadie, aged 30 years, his brother lives with them. Land was granted to them by Messiers Duchambon & Dubuisson under date the fifth of September, 1742. Livestock: 2 oxens, 1 cow, 4 ewes, 1 wether, 3 pigs, 6 fowls, together with one bateau. They have made a clearing & sown 12 bushels of wheat & 2 bushels of peas & still have fallow land sufficient for sowing of 25 bushels.
B28-p.43-...census of 1752 provides us with information...an average family like that of Joseph Arsenault and Marguerite Boudrot who had been living in Malpeque(sic PEI) for twenty-three years only owned two oxen, one cow,etc.
