    Philomon Bourgeois
    December 6, 1942  ~  January 20, 2019  (age 76)

    It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Philomon Bourgeois, 76, on Sunday January 20, 2019 at the Center hospitalier universitaire Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont surrounded by his family.
    Born in Pré-d'en-Haut, he was the son of the late Amable and Laura (LeBlanc Cormier) Bourgeois.
    An electrician by trade, he had a career at the Université de Moncton for more than 35 years.  Husband, father, grandfather and friends, Philomon has touched the lives of many on his way with his help, support and encouragement.
    He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jeannine (née Belliveau), his children Thérèse (Paul Bérubé) Cornwall Ontario, Daniel (Stéphanie Couture) Pré-d'en-Haut as well as two grandchildren Michelle and Marc.  He also leaves to mourn four sisters; Rita (Aurèle Belliveau) Pré-d'en-Haut, Florence (late Valerie Bourque) Moncton, Aline (Albert Cormier) Waltham Mass and Dorine (Gérard Boudreau) Pré-d'en-Haut as well as several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a sister Thérèse and a brother Edgar.
    The visits will take place at the Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook, Wednesday January 23 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday January 24 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.  The funeral will take place at Notre Dame de l'Annonciation church, Pré-d'en-Haut, Thursday January 24 at 11 a.m.
    We thank his friends, neighbors, relatives and the entire health care team who accompanied him and supported him during his illness.
    In memory of Philomon, donations can be made to the donor's favorite charity.
