    Rita Georgina Gallant (Doiron)
    July 15th,1916 - February 28th, 2014
    The death occurred at the home of her son and daughter-in-law Harold and Marjorie Gallant of East Royalty on Saturday, March 1, 2014 of Rita Gallant (Doiron) in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Arthur E. Gallant and loving “Mom” of Mary Walsh, Harold (Marjorie), Paul (Judith), Frank (Alana), Frank(Alma), Bill, Lucy Hickey and daughter-in-law Dorothy. Survived by sister Theresa Ringuette, sister-in-law Marjorie Doiron and son-in-law Gerard Hickey. She was predeceased by her eldest son Arthur Anthony, son-in-law Art Walsh, daughter-in-law Gerry Gallant, grandson Allan Gallant, granddaughter Chantel Gallant, her parents Firmin and Mary Doiron, sisters Lydia Proctor, Dena Burgess, brothers Aubin, Raymond and Arthur Doiron. Fondly remembered by 26 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 2 great-greatgrandchildren. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home until Thursday at 9:45 am then to St. Pius X for funeral mass at 10 am. Interment later in St. Augustine’s Parish Cemetery, South Rustico. Visiting hours on Wednesday from 4-7 pm. No flowers by personal request. Donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul or Salvation Army.
