    M.Lorraine Clark
    1931-2015

    It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Mary "Lorraine" Clark, of Springhill, on Thursday, July 30, 2015 in All Saints Hospital, Springhill. Born in River Hebert , she was a daughter of the late Leo & Beatrice (Cormier) Melanson.
    Lorraine dedicated her life to raising her family. She was an avid fan of word search puzzles, enjoyed playing cribbage and loved to knit.
    She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Betty (Robert) Dillimore of Minden, ON; sons, Thomas and Leo both of Springhill; four grandchildren, Amy, Bronson, Krystal & Hayden.
    She was predeceased by her husband, Harold "Pappy" Clark in 1996, sisters Eileen and Helen, brothers Eugene, Claire Basil & Darrell.
    Arrangements are under the care and direction of A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361), where visiting will be held on Sunday , August 2, 2015 from 1-3 p.m. with the funeral service to follow immediately at 3 p.m. Burial to take place in the Rodney Cemetery.
    Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.

    RIVER HEBERT - Leo Thomas Melanson, 82, of River Hebert, died Friday in Highland View Regional Hospital, Amherst.   Born in River Hebert, he was a son of the late Amos and Susan Melanson.  He was a retired coal miner.   Surviving are two daughters, Lorraine (Mrs. Harold Clark), Mrs. Helen Smith, both of Springhill; five sons, Basil, Eugene, Clair, Dara, Jude, all of River Hebert; 28 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.   He was predeceased by his wife, the former Beatrice Como; three daughters, Doris, Muriel, Eileen, and two sons, Carlisle and Ivan.   The body is at the home of Clair Melanson, River Hebert.   Funeral Mass will be Monday at 10 a.m. from St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, River Hebert, Rev. William Slaney officiating.   Burial will be in Minudie cemetery.
