    Curtis LeBlanc
    1937-2009
    LeBlanc - Curtis Frederick, 71, of Maccan, NS, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2009 at home with family Curtis was born in Minudie, NS to the Late Grace and Murray LeBlanc.

    Curtis travelled while in the army and while working on the lake boats. As well, he did a wide variety of jobs all his life to provide for his family. He will be missed in his vehicle escort service as he was often requested by clients because of his expertise. Curtis loved visiting with friends and family, he enjoyed the outdoors, reading and watching movies. He was very generous, deeply spiritual, loved to share a joke, story or laughter and was a proud AA member for 28 years.

    Curtis will be sadly missed by daughters, Terry (Robert Crowe) LeBlanc, Darlene (Len) Reid and Charlene LeBlanc; sons, Murray, and Jordan (Shannon Mills); grandchildren, Justin, Lacey, Kyle and Ben. Raised in Minudie in a family of 11, he is also survived by siblings, Catherine Morris, Carol-Ann (Stewart) Droesbeck, Donna Butler, Susan Smith, Lawrence, Darrell, Garnet, Wayne (Glenda), Randy (Kim).

    He was predeceased by his former wife Noma (White), step-father, Walter LeBlanc, brother Jack and brother-in-law, Donnie Morris.Visitation will be held at the River Hebert Community Funeral Home on Thursday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held Friday, April 24, 2009 at 11 am at St. Paul's the Apostle Church, River Hebert, officiated by Father David MacDonald. Committal service at the Minudie Cemetery will follow at a later date.

    LeBLANC,Noma Theresa - 60, River Hebert, died Wednesday, May 28, 2003, in Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Amherst. Born in River Hebert, she was a daughter of the late Clarence "Cookie"and Vivian (Landry) White. Noma was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, Joggins, and former Past Worthy Matron, Golden Star Chapter, No. 72 of Eastern Star, River Hebert. She was a very loving mother, grandmother and friend, and enjoyed quilting, making crafts and playing bingo. She is survived by her former husband, Curtis LeBlanc; daughters, Theresa LeBlanc (Merton Eagles) and Darlene (Len) Reid, both of River Hebert; Charlene LeBlanc (Mike Blue), Maccan; son, Murray, Calgary; sister, Bernice Carde, River Hebert; brothers, Cecil (Zelda), Oshawa, Ont.; Gornall (Faye), Amherst; Allan (Mabel), River Hebert; grandchildren, Justin LeBlanc, Lacey Reid, Kyle Reid and Benjamin Blue. She was predeceased by sisters, Eleanor and Dorothy; brothers, Bernard, Darrell, and Victor. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. today in St. Paul The Apostle Church, River Hebert, Rev. Gaeten Banyog-Enne officiating. All are invited to a luncheon following the funeral service at the home of Darlene and Len Reid, 58 Branch Rd.,River Hebert. Donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. Interment will be in Minudie Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of River Hebert & Joggins Community Funeral Home.
