    MICHAUD, Richardson Parker "Richard"-61, Great Village, died unexpectedly April 14, 2003, while on vacation in the Bahamas. He was a son of the late Lucien and Ruth (Richardson) Michaud. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Jan (Meisner); his daughters, Dr. Danielle(Eric) Bremermann, Oakville, Ont.; Suzanne (fiancé Dr. Rob Stevenson), Halifax; Valerie (Todd) King, North Bay, Ont.; his grandchildren, Anna and Peter Bremermann, Ella and Gage King; his sister, Margaret (David) Gibson, High River, Alta; brother-in-law, Kent (Ann) Meisner, Seattle, Wash.; sister-in-law, Dale (Bruce) Cox, Waverley; brother-in-law, Andrew Meisner, Kentville; his four nieces and his nephew; his extended family, Dr. Burke and Marylou Fullerton, Halifax; Bill Fullerton (Judy Lake), Rose Bay; Chris (Barbara) Fullerton, Bermuda; many wonderful friends. Richard grew up in Brampton,Ont. He graduated from UNB in 1966 (B.Sc. Forestry) and worked with the Nova Scotia Forestry Department in various capacities for the next 33 years. He resided for the past 26 years with his family in Great Village. He was an active member of the community, including being District Commissioner of the Colchester Pony Club, a member of the Great Village Garden Club, and an active member of the St. James
    United Church Parish, serving on many committees and singing in the choir. During his 20 years that he lived with Parkinson's disease, he gave much time to the local Parkinson's group, serving as its president, secretary and editor of Clippings magazine. Besides his devotion to his girls, he loved fly-fishing, hunting, gardening and fine woodworking.
    He enjoyed equestrian activities, skiing, golfing, and singing with the Lighthouse choir. Visitation will be 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday April 25, in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 26, in St. James United Church, Great Village, Rev. Bob Hussey officiating. A reception to follow. Interment in Mahon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate donations to St. James United Church, Great Village,or Parkinson's Society of Canada, Nova Scotia Division, 407-5475 Spring Garden Rd., Halifax, NS B3J 3T2.
