    Obituary

    August 3, 1938 – June 20, 2012
at the age of 73 years
Your Loved One Lives In Your Heart
Many tender memories soften your grief,
May fond recollection bring you relief,
And may you find comfort and peace in the thought
Of the joy that knowing your loved one brought…
For time and space can never divide
Or keep your loved one from your side
When memory paints in colors true
The happy hours that belonged to you.
    ~ Helen Steiner Rice
It was with deep sadness that we said goodbye for now to our loving wife and mother, Bernice O’Brien (nee Leblanc) on June 20th, 2012.  Bernice passed peacefully surrounded by love with her family in Salmon Arm, BC.
Bernice was born in River Hebert, NS, lived 32 years in St. Catharines, ON and spent her last 17 years in British Columbia surrounded by the mountains she loved so much.
Bernice is survived by her husband, Ernest O’Brien, her oldest daughter Cindy (Ed) Rempel of Winkler, MB, her son Ernest “Steven” O’Brien (Cora Simms) of Calgary, AB, her youngest daughter Terri (Jerry) Popko of Salmon Arm, BC, and two very special grandchildren Megan and Briana. She also leaves behind her sister Theresa Carmichael of Peterborough, ON and two brothers Bernard Leblanc of Toronto, ON and Roy “Junior” Leblanc of Maccan, NS.  Many other dear family members and friends from all over Canada will mess Bernice too.
“The love we have inside us never diminishes; it just grows stronger.  We will be together again one day where there is only love and happiness.  Goodbye for now.  Until we meet again, sleep in peace.”
Her family would like to thank the staff at Bastion Place for the love and care give to Bernice while she was there.
