    Obituary

    Gloria Catherine LeBlanc
    1943-2019

    GloriaCatherine LeBlanc
, 75, of Maccan, passed away at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, on Saturday, June 1, 2019.  Born in River Hebert, NS, Gloria was a daughter of the late Ed and Ruth (O'Brien) Dwyer.
In her younger years, she lived in Ontario, she picked fruit for employment, which she really enjoyed.  A few years later she returned home to Maccan and worked a year at the Wandlyn Inn, Amherst.  She was very content to stay home and raise her children and care for many others who weren't her own.  In her spare time, Gloria enjoyed a Friday night with her family at home playing poker.  She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, colouring and knitting.  Slippers and baby blankets were her niche.  She was always on the phone and loved to talk to her friends and family.
She was adamant that her family understand the benefits of a good education and would diligently work with each and every one to ensure that they made the most of their time in school.
Gloria was an avid fan of the Maccan Royals Baseball Team, as many of her brothers and other family members had played on it.
She loved being surrounded by her family for weekly Sunday dinners, and enjoying a lobster on Mother's Day.  She especially loved when the children came to visit and always had a Loonie or two waiting for them.
She is survived by her daughters, Cathy Burbine, Maccan, and Karen (Albert) Dwyer, Sackville, NB; sons, Ernie (Peggy), Maccan, Joey (Kathy), Amherst,  and Robbie (Gail), Warren; sisters, Brenda Burke, Ontario, and Donna Dwyer, Maccan; brothers, Teddy (Ruth), Maccan, Earl (Judy), Amherst,  Ricky (Margaret), Maccan, Stanley (Anne), Springhill, and Sandy (Tammy), Maccan; close grandson, Matthew Burbine, as well as many other grandchildren & great grandchildren.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Roy, and her brothers, David and Bobby
Arrangements are under the care and guidance of the  Jones Family Funeral Centre,70 Church Street, Amherst, NS.  There will be no visitation by request.  A funeral mass will be held from St. Paul The Apostle Roman Catholic Church, River Hebert at 2 pm on Tuesday, June 4,2019.  Interment to follow in the St. Denis Cemetery.  Father Craig Christenson presiding.
A special thank you is extended to Gloria's brother, Earl and Judy Dwyer for their support during this difficult time.
