    OBITUARY

    Ola L. LeBlanc

    Ola L. LeBlanc, 81, of Spencer Memorial Home and formerly of Waverley Ave., Moncton, with his loving family at his side, passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday February 21, 2012. Born in Saint André, he was the son of the late Theophile and Ida (Allain) LeBlanc. Ola was retired from Boudreau Sheet Metal Works with 20 years service. He enjoyed bowling at Fairlanes, woodcarving, drawing, playing guitar and violin, watching sports, especially boxing and hockey (avid Montreal Canadiens fan), socializing with his friends and spending time with his family.
    Ola will be sadly missed by his wife of over 31 years, Alfreda "Freda"(LeBlanc) LeBlanc; daughter, Tammy Gorman (Scott) of Moncton; precious grandchildren, Logan and Kieara; sister-in-law, Anne LeBlanc (Paul Gaudet) of Moncton; brother-in-law, Emile LeBlanc of Winnipeg; sisters, Bernice Duguay (Henri) of Saint André, Eva LeBlanc (Pat) of Cap Pele, Mary-Mai LeBlanc of Louisiana, USA, Leona Goguen (Alphonse) of Saint André; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Ovila, André and Yvon; sister, Doris; mother-in-law, Mary (Little Mary) LeBlanc; brother-in-law, Henry LeBlanc.
    Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road Moncton (858-1995) on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel on Friday February 24, 2012 at 10:00 am, Rev. Bernard Sloan officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.

    Family stories heard from various relatives have said that Damien LeBlanc used to go to Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, and to various parts of New Brunswick on contracts to cut lumber. He would take a group of men with him and was boss of the lumber camp.

    Buried:
    His grandson, Damien s/o Peter maintains his grave and stone and showed me (A Owen) where his grave was located in the Haute Aboujagane Cemetery in the summer of 1999. It confirmed that I had found the correct grave in 1974.

    Her death was reported by her son-in-law, Mr Thaddy Vienneau of Joggins, NS. Her age at death was given as 83 years, 4 months and 16 days. She had been residing in Joggins for six years prior to her death. She was a widow.
