Edward G. (Jack) Gould
Edward G. (Jack) Gould,86, of Moncton, with his family at his side, passed away peacefullyat The Moncton Hospital on Monday morning, June 23, 2008, following asudden illness. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Roy andFonda (MacStay) Gould. Jack was former President and owner of WallaceWarehouse & Cartage Ltd., Moncton Moving & Storage, CenterCity Cartage, Dufferin Warehousing Ltd., Warehousing Services Ltd.,Atcan Travel Services and attended St. Augustine's Roman CatholicChurch. He was Past President of Community Foundation of GreaterMoncton, Moncton Kinsmen Club, St. Patrick's Family Centre, GreaterMoncton Service Club Council, Moncton (City) Club and Moncton ProbusClub; past director of Allied Van Lines Ltd., Canadian Association ofMovers, Moncton Rotary Club, Greater Moncton Chamber of Commerce,Better Business Bureau of New Brunswick, Victorian Order of Nurses,Ability Transit, Canadian Rehabilitation Counsel of Disabled, MonctonBoys & Girls Club and Moncton Minor Hockey Association. Member ofThe Moncton Club, Moncton Probus Club, Moncton Press Club, Air ForceVeterans Club and YMCA Century Club. He enjoyed travelling andspending quality time with his family. Jack will be sadly missed byhis daughters, Fonda Kazi (Kamil), Quispamsis, Janet Bishop, LindaGould (Don O'Connor), Karen Evans (Robert), Jacqueline Melanson(Randy), all of Moncton, Katherine Price (Leslie), Miramichi; sons,Robert (Marie Paul Magee), Michael (Paula), John (Stacey), Richard(Louisa), all of Moncton; 19 grandchildren; several nieces andnephews. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Inaddition to his parents, predeceased by his wife, Barbara (Cook)(1999); sister, Thora; brother, Maurice. Visitation at FergusonKnowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995),Tuesday, 2 to 4, 7 to 9. Funeral Mass, St. Augustine's Roman CatholicChurch, Dominion St., Wednesday, June 25, 2008, 11:00 am. Receptionfollowing the Mass. Interment, Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.In Jack's memory, donations to Friends of the Moncton Hospital(Driscoll Extra Mural Unit) would be appreciated by the family.
