    Valerie Bourque 1935-2018

    Valerie Bourque, 83, formerly of Carlyle Street, Moncton, passed away on Monday November 19, 2018 at the Villa du Repos. Born on May 21, 1935 in Scoudouc, he was the son of the late Eddie and Rosie (Belliveau) Bourque.
    Valerie worked as a pipefitter for CN and was also a great carpenter. Valerie was a fiddler and his passion was everything that involved traditional fiddle. He was part of the Sussex Ave Fiddlers, the Greater Moncton Fiddlers and St-Antoine fiddlers. Valerie was a humble, caring and loving husband, father and grandfather who always encouraged those he met and always said thank you for everything he was given.
    He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Florence née Bourgeois; his daughter, Jocelyne Bourque (Eric) of Scoudouc; two grandsons: Patrick and Jacy; three sisters: Yvette Robillard and Huberte "Betty" Richard (Roger), both of Fitchburgh, Mass.; and Jeannette Richard (Maxime) of Dieppe; one brother-in-law, Guy Hébert of Notre-Dame; as well as several nieces and nephews.
    He was predeceased by two sisters: Marie Auffrey (Francis) and Lucille Hébert; two infant brothers, and one brother-in-law, Armand Robillard.
    A private funeral service was celebrated at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton.
    In memory of Valerie, a contribution to the N.B. Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
