    • Bona-vol.2,p.661-b.yr. T19-b.&d.dts.&locs.;known as "Petit Charles";marr.info. T20-b.&d.yrs;marr.info. J03-p.131-notes of Placide Gaudet say he was the sole survivor after being deported to Connecticut with his parents and siblings - his mother, brothers & sisters died of hunger and Charles Leger was adopted by his godmother, Marie Grosvalet...He was at Champs Elyses in 1790 with his wife, 3 sons and 2 daugs. He settled at Chemoque in 1804 and in 1820 at Trois Ruisseaux(Leger's Brooks) in the parish of Cap Pele where he died in 1837. B26-p.72,73-b.yr,talks of another document from the Archives of St Louis Cathedral in New Orleans, which mentions that Charle's sister, Marie, survived the 1755 tragedy...Paul and Marie sought refuge in Louisiana...Placide Gaudet,who was not aware of the New Orleans document...Charles was separated from his parents and never saw them again...at the age of six in 1755, he was adopted by his godmother,Marguerite Grovalet, who took care of him as if he were her own son....They took refuge at Chipoudie and then at Ile St Jean. According to Placide Gaudet, Charles was 18 when he left Ile St.Jean to reach Minudie in Nova Scotia...
